The accessories used with a Fire Rated door are as important as the door itself. You must ensure that your new fire rated door is fitted with all of the correct components, so that complete set complies with the fire certificate.
Every FD30 Fire Rated door must be accompanied by;
A compatible door lining / door frame
UKCA Marked Fire rated door hinges and intumescent hinge pads. Generally 3no.
Intumescent strips, grooved into either the door or lining/frame, at the top and both sides.
Fire rated latch and/or lock, with intumescent pads where required.
Always check the fire certificate for your specific door to ensure you have all of the correct components for your door to comply.
